I tried this "Mcklinky" last week with little success but here we go I will give it another shot.

20 years ago, 1990. Wow that seems such a long time ago.

In 1990 I had already been working for British Telecom in Wales for 9 years so I was fairly established at work. I was working shifts, I don't miss that, as a Maintenance / repair tech looking after Printed circuit manufacturing machines, I really enjoyed my job at that time.

What else was happening?

Home life: -

I had been divorced for a few years at this point and had meet a great little nurse on a night out, in 1990 the relationship was going very well, guess what she is still around, we have been married for almost 19 years at time of writing.

I used to do tons of car repairs with a good Friend Julian, who I haven't heard from in many years. Daily we worked fixing people cars and doing servicing etc, didn't pay great but was good fun and I learnt allot and had an excuse to buy tons of tools.

Sport: -

My Rugby career had ended at this point, I know 25 is far to early to give up rugby, but I was very active playing squash a few times a week.

Other: -

I was in the middle of a major renovation on my second house, a small terrace (Townhouse) which had some serious subsidence issues. For this renovation I took out all the internal walls, ceilings and floors and started from scratch.

Looking back this was a good time in my life, work was going well I had a great girlfriend (Now wife) and we vacationed several times a year normally in Greece or other European countries.

My daughters were living close so I managed to see them regularly which was great, it has been a challenge ever since after they moved to Germany for 8 years.
