On May 1st I along with my son and some friends will be running a 5KM charity run, details below.
The reason for me doing this run is to help rasie funds for a close friends son who is fighting an inoperable brain stem tumor.
The "Downtown Kitchener Mudpuppy run" is to raise funds for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO).
Since 1983, POGO has been working on behalf of Ontario’s childhood cancer community to continually improve standards and guidelines, ensuring the delivery of the best possible care for children with cancer. POGO and its collaboration of 5 specialty pediatric hospitals, community hospitals, survivors and their families, and other cancer care organizations, work to ensure state-of-the-art care is available and accessible across the province, regardless of a patient’s geographic location.
